Courtney Davis

Deputy Director,
Maryland Office of Social Equity

Courtney Davis was appointed by Governor Wes Moore as the Deputy Director of the Office of Social Equity. She brings a wealth of experience in advocacy and public policy, most recently serving as Executive Director of Marijuana Matters, a national advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to advancing economic inclusion, social equity, and restorative justice in cannabis policy.

Before leading the organization, Davis served as Director of Public Affairs and Government Relations, where she successfully spearheaded initiatives to influence equitable cannabis policies. Earlier in her career, she spent over six years on Capitol Hill, serving in various capacities in the office of U.S. Senator Michael Bennet of Colorado, where she played a pivotal role in federal legislative and policy development related to the agriculture industry.

Courtney currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband and two daughters.
